What is your favourite beauty innovation?
“My Shizen Lip Hydrating Serum, $24.95, shop.shizen.com.au. Your lips don’t have any oil glands so I created this product from natural plant oils and vitamins to help replenish even the driest of lips.”
What is the most common beauty mistake you see people make?
“Using lip products with petrochemicals in them or products that tingle on the lips. These really dry out lips.”

Best beauty secret?
“Jojoba Oil – it helps to balance out the oil on your face and is perfect for any skin type. It also works as a body moisturiser or even as a hydrating hair mask.”
What products do you splurge on?
“Mascara. I have really short lashes so I need to really good mascara.”
Favourite beauty bargain?
“Milk powder. I put one cup in a bath for super soft skin.”
Must-have product?
“Shizen Lip Gloss Conditioner, $15.95, shop.shizen.com.au. This was my first product and I spent over three years formulating it. It’s super small and purse-friendly and you can use it on your lips, cuticles, or even to tidy unruly eyebrows.”
What do you wish you could go back and tell your teenage self about beauty?
“Don’t use foaming products on oily skin. They strip the skin of all its oil and, as a result, the skin over-produces oil to compensate. The result is oilier, more pimply skin.”
Favourite beauty trend for winter?
“Exfoliate your lips, with my Shizen Lip Scrub Sugar, $24.95, shop.shizen.com.au. It helps to prep them for lipstick and keeps them super soft.”
Favourite beauty trend for summer?
“A hint of pink in your lips and on the apples of your cheeks.”
