This fashion capital is a shopping mecca for more than just Hello Kitty and Harajuku style.

There are 11 LV stores across Tokyo and this onee is the biggest. Designed to resemble a stack of its signature trunks, it's worth a visit just for the architecture (and possibly a set of luggage). 5-7-5 Jingame, Shibuya-ku, +81 3 3478 2100.

This department-store-with-a-difference could take you hours - it's a must-shop spot for Tokyo's fashion-savvy. Noteworthy stores include Topshop, Jeanasis, Swimmer and accessories hot spot, A Girl. Watch out for screaming shop girls on big sale days. 1-11-6 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, +81 3 3475 0411.

No visit to Tokyo is complete without a trip to this eight-floor DIY extravaganza. Officially it's a hobby store, but you can find things like party dress-ups, bento boxes and possibly a bigger selection of writing implements than you knew existed.
