The famous Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena, California, boasts over 2500 vendors and fans that include stacks of Hollywood stars.
By Michelle Glew-RossHomewaresTony's Collectibles: It's full of anything and everything, so you could fossick here for hours. From old keys, wooden stamps, magazines, zinc lettering and glass bottles to great vintage racquets that would look fantastic on display, it's the ideal place to grab an unusual souvenir.
For Her
Andrea's Workshop: Louis Vuitton vintage luggage piled high is a beautiful sight. Travel has been a passion at Vuitton ever since the house was founded and it's hard not to admire these old trunks in mint condition. They're not market-style super-cheap, but US$1000 for a large suitcase is still a great starting price for these collectibles. I wanted to buy them all!
For Him
The Punk Rock Shop: If you're a fan of horror-punk band, the Misfits, this shop has the leather jacket for you. Or if you're simply the type who likes to walk on the wild side, you're sure to find something suitably vicious.
AccessoriesSanta Fe Belts: A paradise of accessories, with amazing leather belts with embroidery and turquoise stones (great for high-waisted jeans), suede belts, belts with studs, belts with beadings, embossing or braiding... I wanted one of each!
Must-VisitsThe Scrunchie Lady: The best thing about this stall was the owner's long ponytail full of scrunchies, the likes of which I'd never seen before. It's a spectacle in itself and well worth viewing (even if you don't plan to buy a scrunchie)
