Lovin’ lace

I have two newfound obsessions: lace and bodysuits. No, this is not a joke. These can be two separate things but are even better combined. Granted, they’re not for the faint hearted but I suggest you try them out one way or another.

I don’t mean you should walk around pretending to be Madonna circa 1983 – this is a trend that has been reinvented to look chic, modern and ooze sexy sophistication. Take a look at this magnificent bodysuit from Camilla & Marc.



Just add a pair of high-waisted black trousers and a cropped jacket and your good to go. Or take this beautiful lace skirt by Vanessa Bruno – so flattering thanks to the clever paneling – add a black cami and some ankle boots and get ready to turn every head you strut on by. 



Need a little colour? Take lace on a more futuristic journey and be inspired by Prada’s autumn/winter collection and wear tangerine lace with neutrals for extra quirk – perhaps try a simple grey marle tank and loose the sunglasses. 






Can’t find an orange lace skirt at your nearest Sportsgirl? Raid an op-shop, or your grandma’s closet, buy some dye and get colouring.
