Prue Trollope

Like her lifestyle store in Sydney's Balmain, Prue Trollope's home is filled with vintage trinkets and shabby chic finds.
"My parents had antique and decorating storse so I've grown up surrounded by beautiful things. Collecting and decoration is in my blood," says Prue. "I studied horticulture and landscape design so flowers have always been a passion. I'm a maximalist so English and American interiors inspire me as they're slightly over the top."
Ideas to steal:
1. Photographs are just as intriguing as art. Combining old black and white family pictures with current photos turns any room into a private art gallery.
2. Mixing vintage accessories and homewares like ceramics, photo frames and cushions, makes a modern space look instantly lived in.
3. Buy pieces when you're abroad. It's inspiring to surround yourself with visual reminders of your travels, plus it's a great conversation starter.
