Public-relations agent and co-owner of homewares label Pony Rider, Jacqui Lewis gives us a tour of her beach pad.

"I love to entertain, so the kitchen and dining area is the heart of the home," says Jacqui. “A lot of the furniture is pre-loved, and then I paint it in bold colours like the red and yellow for contrast.”

Ideas to steal:
1. Don’t be afraid to experiment with a different colour in every room. Then group ornaments or furniture in similar shades for impact.
2. Adding the odd vintage item, like a chair or trunk in each room makes a modern space look lived in.
3. Books make for great decorations, too. They’re inspirational and good conversation starters with guests, so keep them on display.
