I’m an easy sell when it comes to chick flicks, so you can imagine my excitement when I heard that The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2 is due to be released in Australia next month. Cue: laughter from all angles. Sure, sure, I geddit. My actual age might just outdo my movie-picking age (deep down I really am just a 16 year old), but I noticed that the four off-screen stars: Blake Lively, America Ferrera, Alexis Bendel and Amber Tamblyn have far outgrown their on-screen characters. They’ve been hitting the red carpet like it’s going out of style to promote the film and they’re doing it in high fashion. From brightly coloured maxis, to jumpsuits, to high-waisted short-shorts and one-shouldered dresses – these stars have really grown up. It might just be time for me to do the same…
