Havaianas – take 2
Posted: 11 August 2008
Last time I blogged about a Havaianas party it was about my morbidly black outfit at their all-white themed party… opps. This time I checked, double checked, triple checked the invite for any sneaky hidden dress codes and was relived to see that this time it was theme-less so I would not have to worry about my garb. This time Havise threw a more subtle bash at Simmer on the Bay’s warehouse like space which was decked out like a cargo hold for the Brazilian import that we Aussies just could not live without. The party, other than a good reason to drink a hot rummy cocktail at 4pm on a Wednesday, was for the launch of their new accessory the Pininho (pin-een-o) which is Portuguese for “cute little pin” and indeed they are. I selected a little gold skull with diamantes which definitely added a touch of glamour to my tired old rubber pedals. For as little as $7.95 you can choose from 16 different designs; the Aussie flag, red lips, peace sign and heart, just to name a few. Wonder what they will come up with next? Wouldn’t mind a jet attachment or some wheels next time…
