Amy Winehouse) has confirmed she’s designing her own fashion line for Brit label Fred Perry.
But don’t expect to see the dishevelled soul singer’s signature dirty ballet flats and ripped sweaters on Fred Perry racks anytime soon. Wino’s line features surprisingly girlie twinsets, pencil skirts and polished polo shirts.
And Richard Martin, marketing director for Fred Perry, said the bee-hived star took on a very hands-on role during the design process. “Amy gave crucial input on proportion, colour and fit,” he says. “The range clearly has Amy’s handwriting.” The 17-piece collection will be available in the UK from autumn and starts from a very reasonable £22. Will you be vying for a piece?
