Fishnets Friday

Aussies are being asked to flash some leg, by donning a pair of fishnets for charity

October 31, 2012

On Friday, November 9, Aussies are being asked to flash some leg, by donning a pair of fishnet stockings as part of ‘Nets for NETs Day’.

Created by the Unicorn Foundation to help raise awareness for the often misdiagnosed neuroendocrine tumours (NETs), Nets for NETs Day aims to draw attention to the need for timely diagnosis, and access to treatment and care for all patients.

Unicorn Foundation volunteers will be handing out fishnet stockings on the streets of Melbourne and Sydney and encouraging passers-by to donate a gold coin, before adding the diamond-shaped hosiery to their Friday ensemble.

Visit unicornfoundation.org.au for more details, or to register you or your workplace’s participation.
