I've been to Thailand, where fake is mostly schlock, but I live in China now, where we talk of A-grade fakes and you really can't tell the difference in most cases. I wear a real Rolex, and my wife has real Chanel and Cartier watches but many of our clothes are A-grades at 5% of retail for the real thing, and next year you'll want to update your wardrobe anyway. It's like everything, everywhere else -- few blanket rules, but smart shoppers look for value, not just at the price tag. Report
If you have the money to buy such articles then by all means do so, but $1000 for a hand bag? Surely the quality of a good ozzy handbag for $50 will be comparable. so if you just want the label....buy fake and be proud, dont suport the ridiculousness. Report
Just ANOTHER article to try to sway the masses towards bying the "real thing" using this type of subversive advertising propaganda. Such over priced crap. Someone who can afford to buy the real thing wouldn't look at a fake. Somone who can't afford the real thing can get a good "fake". It just depends on where they get if from really. Report
Don't buy fakes. You don't know where the profits go. You don't think these things are made by mom and pop in the backyard do you? Fakes are big business which can be linked with gangs who also deal in drugs, prostitution or even terrorism. Do some research and don't send your money where it could do harm. Report
If people can afford to buy "the real thing for $1000" do you think they care if they are wasting $50 on a fake "trial" first? I have two "copy" Guess bags and two real Guess bags..and surprise surprise, the copies have lasted LONGER and cost 1/8th of the price. Give me a good fake anyday.. Report
