What is your favourite hair trend this season?
“My favourite hair trend is the bob in all its variations. It's a great look.”
What is the most common hair mistake you see people make?
“Women choosing a hairstyle that doesn't suit their hair type.”
Which celebrity, designer or model do you most admire and why?
“Agyness Deyn, the ‘it model’. She is showing women that short hair can be stylish and chic.”
What’s the hair trick you use on everyone?
“Blow drying with my T3 blow dryer. Inside the body of the dryer is crushed tourmaline crystals and when the air passes through it deposits more heat, locking in moisture and giving hair added shine.”
What’s been your biggest hair splurge?
“All the human hair wefts I use on shoots and at fashion week. They are very expensive and usually only used once.”
Biggest hair bargain?
“The best buy of the season is KMS California’s Sea Salt Spray. It acts like a thickening spray and gives fine hair incredible volume.”
What is your favourite product of all time?
“My favourite and most used product is KMS California Hair Stay Medium Hold Hairspray. It has amazing hold. I also love KMS California Flat Out Anti-Humidity Spray. It seals the cuticle and dispels humidity so hair doesn’t get frizzy and it’s ideal for our hot Aussie summers.”
Which A-lister would you most like to give a make over and why?
“Britney Spears – she needs someone to stand up to her and give her a lesson in grooming, clothes, parenting and how important it is to wear underwear.”
Which celeb’s hair styles do you admire the most and why?
“I love Jessica Alba who, unlike Britney Spears, gets it right every time. Whether she’s out shopping or on the red carpet, her team of experts always make the best choices. Her hair colour is perfect – it really compliments her colouring.”
What is the most common request you have to talk people out of?
“Clients with curly, frizzy hair who want a Posh-style haircut but don't want to commit to the necessary styling time.”
What is the most asked for cut in your salon at the moment?
“The bob. I love Katie Holmes new ‘do. She looks completely different – that’s the power of a fringe.”
