Beauty Junkies Anonymous

It started in primary school when I cornered the market on those super cute Caboodles lip glosses (remember them?) and it all spiralled downward from there.

My beauty obsession and supplies gradually became more expensive and more numerous, and before I knew it I had truckloads of products and newfangled beauty gadgets, and a very angry family that cannot and will not understand my need to hog every single bathroom drawer and cupboard.

I knew it was time to check into Beauty Rehab when I woke up one morning to discover that my fragrance collection had taken over my entire bedroom. No shelf, nightstand, desk or bedside table was safe from my ever-expanding perfume obsession. My last count puts my bottle collection at an Amy Winehouse-worthy 26. Yes, twenty six.

Many a loved one has expressed concerns for my mental and olfactory health, but at the end of the day, this is an illness that I’m just going to have to learn to live with. And I’m fine with that.
